What happens when a boy
uses the four powerful values of Hope, Faith, Courage and Love
to overcome adversity? Matthew Epp is the author of a children’s
book called Hope and the Dragon which is an enchanting tale of
a young boy who dreams of a magical land and receives those powers
to fight the ‘dragon’ of cancer.
Hope and the Dragon is providing young cancer patients with something
they’ve never had: a powerful story written by one of their
peers, offering the strength to beat the illness. Young author
Matthew Epp wrote a book when he was just 11 years old, and even
then, he was all too familiar with cancer and the battle it takes
to overcome it. Matthew was only 23 months old he was first diagnosed
with Wilm’s Tumor, a cancer of the kidney and underwent
surgery. Matthew lives in Fisk, Saskatchewan with his Mom and
Dad and has a younger brother and sister. He loves to snow board,
skate board, play video games and of course write stories!

Today at age 14, Matthew bravely continues his battle to
fight cancer, by ordering your copy of his book you can help too.
Hope and the Dragon is an inspiration to all who read it and a
portion of proceeds help fund cancer research. Remember Matthew's
words - don't be afraid to...
